Welcome!

At Missouri Children's Museum, kids will have a blast discovering our exciting indoor play space, as well as our outdoor adventure area, spaces that arouse their curiosity, increases their understanding, and ignite their love of learning.

Each of our indoor galleries is uniquely designed to provide a hands-on, stimulating environment for children age 6 months to 12 years old. Our outdoor adventure area is scheduled to open in the spring 2010.

The MOCM is dedicated to providing children with a fun, hands-on and stimulating learning environment to explore and discover. We hope to instill a life-long love of learning by nurturing unstructured play to allow children to learn without specific instruction.

After all, learning isn't just academic!

Summer Camp 2010

We have an exciting line-up of summer camp options for children, grades K to 6, starting Monday, June 14, 2010.

ROBOLAB: LEGO Robotics (Two Week Camps)

LEGO Robotics are a great way for builders to learn basic design principles, mechanical concepts, engineering principles, basic computer programming and have fun at the same time. Campers will work in teams to build and program robots that can complete a variety of tasks based on the theme for the session using LEGO robot kits.

Big Thinkers!

We often hear “think outside the box... See More“- but what does that mean? Each week, in Big Thinkers!, kids are encouraged to think outside the box as we explore a wide range of concepts, ideas and little known facts about our world. This is “stealthy” learning at its best - science, math, language arts and more are all included without being taught, as kids play to learn and have fun thinking along the way! Each week we'll start with a theme and go from there, using a variety of fun ways to explore and learn - arts & crafts, LEGO, K'Nex, imagination and more!

What’s summer camp if not just fun and frolic play? Each day we’ll explore various areas in and around the museum and have some good old fashioned fun as we do arts & crafts, pretend, explore the great outdoors, play some games, get our hands dirty and much more!

LEGO Extreme Builders

Famous for 1000+ piece sets, LEGO has a huge variety of challenging sets available to capture the imagination, build skills and hone in on team-building experiences. Each week in our Extreme Builders camp, kids will have a large number of both large and small brick sets available to challenge their skills throughout the week.
