Field Trips offer learning opportunities outside the classroom, experiences in a new context, and fun playing with friends in a different setting.  Our field trips offer your kids hands-on learn-through-play, varied activities, and more!

Field Trips are designed as an open-ended "play-to-learn" experience.  If you'd like, we can add an activity or project to enrich the experience for a small fee.

We accept field trip groups for children up to fourth grade.  Groups must have a minimum of 10 children* to qualify for our group rate.  Group rates apply to public and private schools, childcare agencies, licensed daycares, established civic organizations, and homeschoolers.  Groups must reserve in advance to qualify for group rate!

While we can do a field trip on almost any day, we reserve Monday for groups and are by appointment only on that day.

Group Rates:

10+ children: $6.00 per child
25+ children: $5.00 per child

Add a project or activity for $1.00 per child.

Chaperones: We require one adult chaperone for every five children. Adult chaperones are admitted free of charge and must be 18 or older. Chaperones are required to stay with the children at all times.

Lunch Space: If you would like your group to bring a sack lunch, please let us know when booking your group. We do not maintain a dedicated indoor space for lunch, so our ability to accommodate your group for lunch will depend on group size, time of the year and day of your visit.  We do have picnic tables outside in our outdoor adventure area.

Length of Visit: We reserve field trips and groups for a two-hour visit.  If you require a longer visit, please let us know when you're booking and we'll work with you to schedule a longer visit with us.

Days for Groups: We reserve group visits Monday through Thursday, with Monday reserved for groups by appointment only. Monday is the best day for larger groups, although we will try to accommodate a larger group on other days of the week if Monday does not work for your group. We do not accept groups, at the group rate, on Friday or weekends.  Groups arriving without a reservation do not qualify for the group rate.
