Children's Birthday Parties The Missouri Children's Museum is the funnest place in mid-Missouri to host your child's birthday party! Not only will your child have a great time, you'll enjoy our stress-free all-inclusive packages too. With either package, your guests may arrive any time during our open hours on the day of the party or stay afterward to play if you host a party in the morning or afternoon. Birthday Party Enhancements Make the day extra special by adding a project or activity for your guests! We'll work with you to create an extra-special activity for your party guests, with each guest taking home something special. Birthday party enhancements may be added to either the Birthday Bash or the Deluxe Birthday Bash above. Make & Take Art Project, $2.50 per child We'll work with you to decide an age-appropriate craft that ties in with your party theme. We have a wide variety of arts & crafts you can choose from, all high-quality "make-and-take" projects. Some of our art activities include: princess & prince crowns, pencil boxes, picture frames, sand art, journals, puzzles, birdhouses, stepping stones, jewelry, and more! We provide all the supplies, help the kids with their craft project, and the kids take home their artistic creation! Mad Scientist Activity, $2.50 per child A variety of party themes lend themselves well to a science-based activity. We'll work with you to decide on an age-appropriate science activity that ties in with your party theme. Science activities include making snow, silly putty, candy, slime, planting seeds and more! Each child gets to take home their creations along with an instruction card to be able to create more at home! Princess Tea Luncheon, $5.00 per child In addition to the birthday party, guests enjoy a small lunch with apple "tea" (juice), finger sandwiches and miniature pastries, served on tea party tableware. Each guest receives a balloon, crown and wand to take home. Play-Doh or Moonsand Activity, $5.00 per child A half-hour activity with either Play-Doh or Moonsand, with creations tied into the theme of your party. All guests take home their Play-Doh or Moonsand creation along with a fun mold or tool to use. Pamper Me Spa Activity, $5.00 per child Little girls love to be pampered and being pampered on your birthday is the best! Our Pamper Me Spa activities include making perfume, sweet-smelling soaps or lip gloss. Each guest will take home their soap, lip gloss or perfume! LEGO Activity, $10.00 per child We'll spend an hour with your party guests to have them work in groups to use their imagination to build incredible LEGO creations based on your party theme. Birthday Party Policies Adults may attend birthday parties free of charge; we provide a basic cake for your adult guests that is also for blowing out the birthday candles and pictures. Bottled water is also available. You may provide additional non-alcoholic beverages for your adult guests. We can arrange for coffee and tea service for your adult guests for an additional fee. Family of the birthday child is responsible for ensuring an adult:child ratio of no less than 1:5 for children 5 and younger, 1:8 for children 6 and older. Adult supervision of children is required throughout the party and is the responsibility of the party host(ess). Additional time is available for $25 per half hour. If your party runs over its allotted time and you've not booked additional time in advance, a late exit fee of $15 per 15-minutes will be charged. Meals and snacks are not included in the above packages. You may cater food from outside vendors (pre-approval required) if you wish to provide snacks or a meal, or we can arrange catering for you from area caterers or restaurants. The cost of catering is not included in the above packages. MOCM staff cannot pick-up your outside catering for your party, you will need to pick-up the food and bring it with you. We have a refrigerator to keep items cold and a microwave available for reheating. If you bring in outside food, please remember to bring any paper products & utensils you will need to serve the food to your guests. Clean-up of catered food is the responsibility of the party host(ess) unless pre-arranged in advance of the party with the MOCM. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at the MOCM. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your date and time, balance is due on the day of the party. In the event you need to cancel, the $100 deposit is not refundable, but may be used to reschedule your party for another date. The Missouri Children's Museum maintains an indoor maximum of 36 children for an exclusive birthday party and 20 children for an open-time party. We maintain a maximum 48 adults and children for an indoor exclusive birthday party, and 36 adults and children for an indoor open-hours party. | ||
